Con men! I took an xbox to them suffering the common red ‘ring of dead’ I was given a choice of a basic repair costing £30 or a replace of the damaged chip costing £60, I opted for the replacement as I felt that a basic repair might not last that long. I was given a 2-3 day time frame. Problem 1 The 2-3 day’s became 8 Problem 2 They claimed that aswell as a broken chip they found a “fucked lens” (there words) so they fixed that for me and charged be £75. I explained that the lens was fine! when I took the xbox to them it played dvd’s just fine, but they didn’t listen and insisted that it had to be replaced! Problem 3 2 and a half months later my xbox suffers the exact same problem , fuzzy lines down the screen and the red ring of death. i took it back to them confused as to why if the broken chip had been replaced I would have the exact same problem less than 3 months later. They said that they would look at it and as it was still under there warranty I told them I wanted it fixed, they said it should be 2-3 days. 6 days later I get a call to collect it. They told me that they had repaired the chip and that it should be fine now. I asked why had a ‘replaced chip’ broken the exact same way as the previous chip? ‘Not really sure’ was all I got out of them. I was also told that if I had the same problem again they wouldn’t cover it under there warranty! ...
