I was looking through some reviews for computer shops and noticed that there are some bad ones about this shop. I got a computer from there people 8 months ago- best one I have ever had !! The guys there are great, never a prob,always polite. I suppose if the bad reviews are true then then it may be the customers that are being unreasonable ?... |

Ordered a pc from this shop about 3 years ago. I was promised that it would be built within one week, but it took two weeks. As an apology for the wait was given an extra gig of ram, a brilliant keyboard/mouse and a memory stick. Took it back once because of a virus situation - left it with them and they sorted out the problem within one hour. Brilliant service! PC still going.... |

In regards to the negative comments on here - perhaps I can provide some context...
Computer Centre is owned by David Pleece, who in the early 1990s owned and managed both WTS Electronics (a computer mail order business in Luton) and its sister company Computer Mall (3 retail stores).
I worked for Computer Mall at the time and was on the receiving end of a huge stream of disgruntled customers who were routinely being lied to or misled. For example, we would take money from a customer for a pre-order on a hard to obtain, popular item (e.g. Sega Megadrive) and say it would take about 2 weeks, despite having no idea when we would be able to get stock. We would then be instructed to always refuse refunds and only offer credit notes, which cause some customers to (understandably) go balistic..
In 1994, the Bedfordshire on Sunday newspaper reported that there were at least 50 county court judgements against WTS Electronics (just do a search of Google Groups for WTS Electronics, which hosts the original newsgroups from that period). They were also subject to an OFT investigation.

Bad, Bad , Bad people..... £1400 taken up front in early April 2009. Seven weeks later no computer and definately no refund. Avoid at all costs.
Trading Standards are now taking up the case.... |

Ordered top spec bispoke computer for £2500 from the shop Feb 08. Never received the computer. Have now been to court who have issued a CCJ for them to pay imediatley. No money as yet. Please dont use this store you will lose you money and it takes forever to get it back. ... |

Have used this shop over the past 5 years. They always seem to know what they are doing and provided me with a very fast repair service on two occasions. Some prices are very good but others are a little expensive compared with on-line pricing. Always happy to provide free advice.... |

Not only was the service awful, but the staff was downright abusive. When my companion said that he believed I\'d been ripped off, the shop manager angrily walked out from behind the counter, came straight towards my companion, put his face close up to his and physically threatened him. I stated the obvious and said \'You\'re threatening us\' and he told us both to f@ck off.
These people are unprofessional, unpleasant and possibly dangerous.
