Everything you have read about these guys is true AND WORSE. Like everyone else I made the mistake of putting my trust in a re-install and backup. They backed nothing up and I lost everything. They are rude, unhelpful and worse still they threatened me with physical violence! They would not give me their names or their points of contact for me to register my complain. I have never ever experienced anything as bad as this before EVER. You really should take this review and all others like it seriously and not go anywhere near these people. When reading reviews we all tend to say \'Yes, but this won\'t happen to me!\' I can tell you with 100% certainty, that it will.... |

I took a laptop to these guys in the first week of December was told a week to fix but they needed the cash up front to buy the part.
I stupidly gave them £139 when I called them they were rude and unhelpful I had to ring numerous times between Hemel and Welwyn the general response was what do you want why are you ringing! As if Its not my right to know what\'s going on! The owner is a grade A (_____) fill blanks in! I was fobbed off they were waiting for a part that never arrived. They were rude abusive no customer service I only started to make ground when I threatened them with trading standards. He said they would put the laptop back together and I could collect it when I called about collecting it I was told it had been fixed and I could collect it. I collected it got home and guess what it wasn\'t working. I then had to chase them for a refund they gave it back to me told me they had replaced a part nothing had been done they hadn\'t even opening it up in all the time they had it over 10 weeks. Avoid these cowboys at all costs!!!!!!! ... |

OUR LAPTOP TOOK 8 WEEKS TO RETURN AFTER HAVING BEEN TOLD 7-14 DAYS. WE HAD TO PAY THE £179 UPFRONT. THERE WERE OTHER ISSUES WITH THE REPAIR WHEN WE GOT THE PC BACK. I WAS ASKED TO TALK TO SOMEOENE IN THE HEMEL SHOP. I WAS POLITE AND TRIED TO PUT ACCROSS MY OPINION ON THE SERVICE RECEIVED AND ALSO THE ATTITUDE OF THE SHOP ASSISTANT. THIS GENTLEMAN WAS KNOWN AS DAVE HE WAS ALSO RUDE AND HAD ATTITUDE EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD RECEIVED £179 FOR A REPAIR ON MY PC. AFTER A BRIEF CONVERSATION I ASKED IF I COULD COME AND SEE HIM HIS ANSWER WAS WHY...FOLLOWED BY IF YOU COME OVER HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT. HE THEN ENDED THE CONVERSATION BY SAYING F*** OFF YOU W***** AND HE PUT THE PHONE DOWN.
THIS SHOP DOES NOT BELIEVE IN COSTOMER CARE. I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO AVOID THE WELWYN OR HEMEL HEMPSTEAD SHOP.... |

This shop is now in the Howard Centre. Don\'t go there. Specifically, don\'t get your computer repaired there. they are rude, uncommunicative and frankly plain useless. They \"repaired\" my PC. It took 8 weeks. It is now half the machine it was. The whole front panel of USBs etc is not connected, the graphics card is much worse than the original, the fan is several times louder. I\'m disgusted!... |

This store is terrible and it is in your best interest to never have nothing to do them. At first I thought the negative reviews were by a bunch of bitter people until I was over priced and unserviced. The staff was also rude and clueless when i complain that it has taken 3times the deadline set intially. please do yourself a favour and say away from them.... |

Bought a gaming computer from these people in May 2009. The computer took approximately 7 weeks to be built and required the intervention of the local Trading Standards.
The unit was plugged in and seemed to work ok, but then on the fourth day the power supply unit shorted out and basically fused the ring main in the house.
I genuinely believe that this firm (Computer Centre Welwyn Garden City) are on the brink of administration and I didn’t fancy taking it back to them for repair, so I opted for a local firm to asses the damage.
The main problems that the computer had were a low spec power supply and a cheap and inadequate motherboard.
The “more than capable” new firm that I found have managed to rectify all of the faults at an extra cost to myself, but a least we now have a working unit.
Lesson No 1………Computer Centre Welwyn & Computer Centre Hemel Hempsted…………..Leave well alone !

The biggest mistake I made was not reading the posts from previous customers and avoiding this company.
My second biggest was ordering a PC from them and paying them £1200 in advance.
I decided on the PC spec with the help of Manager Ben Cooper and agreed a delivery date of 2 weeks which may be shortened to 7 days.
Needless to say it didn’t turn up. After numerous phone calls and being bounced between the Welwyn Garden City Shop and their sister shop in Hemel Hempstead. I was told that their computer system had picked up a virus and they could not longer access my data. Maybe true, but certainly a lousy admission from a computer company.
I was then told that they couldn’t build it for the price quoted and were awaiting a cheaper motherboard.
Eventually, after speaking to the owner - David Pleece, I was informed that he was waiting on the supplier of the motherboard; he used this excuse for 4 weeks.
I spoke to the Manager Ben Cooper 3 weeks ago and he told me to stop bothering them with phone calls and just wait until I received a phone call from them.
Which is quite an unusual customer service technique?
It seemed like he was saying to me ‘How dare you ask when we will deliver the goods that you have paid for!’
But alas, from my previous experience of them calling me back, I knew I would be waiting a very, very long time.
With no phone calls coming from them and on advice from Trading Standards I gave them a final delivery date or my money back demand.
I then had more promises from David Pleece about returning my money, none of which he has kept. I am now taking them to the small claims court.
On visits to the shop I met others in there in the same plight – paying money up front and having nothing delivered. It seems to be the way they do business.
The logo on their website proudly says ‘BIG ENOUGH TO SUPPLY’, ‘SMALL ENOUGH TO CARE’. For me, they have done neither.

So I ordered a PC from here for £489 about 7 weeks ago. I got the PC a couple of days ago, which took almost 6 and a half weeks when they said it\'d only take 2-3. When I got it home, connected it to a monitor, checked its spec and it wasn\'t what we ordered. The software is pirated and most things in the computer is obviously second hand (they never stated it was used) and even had an anti-virus from 2005. Stay away, and under no circumstances buy anything from here.... |

Bought a computer for £1349 in January. I was quoted 2 weeks for delivery. It took about 4 weeks but when I got it everything has been fine. They also threw in some more RAM to make up for the long delivery. Good service and polite but other people say bad thing though so who knows? Don\'t buy from them if you\'re really impatient perhaps.... |

I am very disappointed with this shop. They were happy to take £250 for repairing my laptop but that was over 2 months ago and still they are unable to tell me when the laptop will be fixed. We have resorted to small claims like the other review.
Shocking and should not be able to operate. AVOID!... |

Absolutely on no account buy anything from this shop!
My mum ordered a computer from them and paid up front as they said they needed to buy the parts to build it. After 7 weeks and numerous visits to the shop and phonecalls becuse they kept losing the spec and it not being ready when they said it was they delivered it to her home. It was a lower (cheaper) spec than ordered and when I checked it I found the software was pirated. On the phone they said they\'d take it away and fix the problems. We said we\'d lost all faith and demanded a refund, they refused and basically said we\'d have to take them to court and we wouldn\'t go that far. When we wrote to them stating we were entitled to a refund they refused and changed their story and said it was what we ordered.
So small claims court it is! What a bunch of crooks!... |
